I Can't Talk!

But here's the problems that started popping up today.

My ping is wicked high whenever I join a server. It's only for NS I checked every other mod I have. I can *usually* talk during that time. It's annoying though. But when my ping finally settles back around the sub 100 region (70s avg) I can't talk.

I hit Y. Enter my message. Hit enter. The message disappears but never gets sent to the other players on the server. I've checked multiple servers and it's all the same. High ping for around a minute. Then I can't talk.

I just checked again and my ping just never went down.

I also get this error whenever I join a server:
Unknown command: ex_maxerrordistance

It JUST started happening today. I've redownloaded the NS installer and installed it again. Same problems occur. It's NS only and does NOT occur with any other HL Mods.

Alright. I just checked and it appears that I can't use voice comm either. The icon saying I'm using it shows up for everyone but no sound gets through. This is with a FRESH install of NS.

Ping doesn't spike *<b>as</b>* high with this install and isn't ridiculously high when I join a server. But I still can't talk.

My connection is on a LAN and we connect to the ISP through a wireless antenna. I know it's not the connection for sure. Because I've tested many other programs and checked speeds and they're all regular. It's definatly a problem within NS.

Please help as soon as you can because without communication I can't really play. I can but I'm useless to the team as I can't provide intel.

Nevermind actually. I fixed it. Had to make a new userconfig.cfg and put the alias "ex_maxerrordistance" "" in it. D'oh!
