The mappers must consider flying when they make maps. I think most maps I´ve seen so far looks great, but I havent seen enough large open areas, or big height differences, as there are a lot of in AvP. It would be cool for example with a bridge spanning over a dark abyss that the marines have to cross and the flyer could hide in the darkness under them, attacking them as they are crossing the bridge.

also, remember that the level 3 is a very popular class, and as such every map gets flown around a lot on. The mappers have made a few tweaks here and there in regards to making flying better (and also fixing some exploitative spots only flyers could get to), so just like everything else in the game: it will rock, be fun, be usefull, and be balanced. :)

Sebly, what I mean is that yes, you notice that he's not aligned to the wall. But frankly, it *really* doesn't hurt gameplay at all. Like I said - you'll notice it once, and it will never bother you again.
OR we could delay release who-know-how-long so Flayra can write code to trick HL into properly aligning the world model. Your choice, really. q:
In a screenshot, you wouldn't help but notice it. It's a static imagine, and your eyes are drawn to it. In game, however, I imagine the situation to be much different. You might wonder about it in the time it takes that skulk to climb across the room's ceiling, and then you'd remember to shoot, just before it fell on your head.
Still, in future versions, I really hope to see the models align with the wall. Most notably, the weapon model. That would just add to the neat-o factor, you know?
