***** orange lambda
i can't get this spray to work, its been a while since i made one, and i just got the new photoshop 8, so there may be something wrong.

i've looked over the tutorials, but i can't find where i went wrong. i'm using steam by the way.

96x96 pixels

its around 12k.....

i use wally to convert it. geocities is not letting me upload the .wad, but i used the hl spray decal wizard, don't see what could be wrong there...

Don't ever go to the costumizing controlls after you installed it. Else you'll overwrite it.

Or make the pldecal.wad read only.

i've tried making the wad read only, not read only, and i haven't gone to the customization screen.

just to be sure it wasn't being overwritten i checked the contents to pldecal.wad with a wad viewer, and its still my spray.

i've tried it on several different servers, at least 10, so i doubt that its a server side problem.....

Maybe you just picked 10 bad ones, try it in another mod like cs cause there servers love custom sprays

It's been my experience that about half the servers I play on allow custom sprays. I'd try a few more before I was sure it wasn't a server-side problem.

    1) Delete pledcal.wad from *:\*****\NS\ folder
    2) Recompile .wad
    3) Place wad into NS folder and try again.

Also you may have set your cl_allowupload to 0 which AFAIK will prevent you from uploading your spray to the server so you can't see it

There was a change regarding sprays with the last Steam update, just copy your pldecal.wad in the same folder as before, and rename it "tempdecal"

yep I also think that's the problem. cause on *my* clanserver my spraylogo is working, (also on my local server) but on some servers it's just replaced by the lambda logo...

On some servers it seems to me that some take longer to read your decal file than others, ie. if you join a server, the first few sprays might be the default HL sprays, but give it a minute or two and your spray might work
