YES! This is the best day ever! I finally got ns_scout to run today! No Bad Surface Extents! Yes! So, I thought I'd share some pictures with you guys. (Some textures are badly misaligned, that's a result of me trying to fix BSE.)

Nice, well 2 screenshots are. Unfortunately I have to squint to make out any minor light in the other two

Hey
It looks great
But on the picture with the water, make it brown water if it is nearer the aliens

you could try brown water but this blue does have something to it. Remember from mapping guidelines, "jungle like aliens". They do have this clear water type in the jungle if I remember the in probably a discovery channel documentary

For 2 dark screenshots... Did you use the brighting up formula mentioned in the FAQ, if not it's pretty dark. Good thing we marines got a standart iesue flashlight model p22a with build in beeb thingy

I say you keep it dark. It really adds to the atmosphere, I mean *really*

People can still see where the heck they are going, but they cant see whos in front of them.

Er, I believe a general rule for official maps is that if you can't make out your weapons from the background, it's too dark.

Yeah, I'll post some more screenshots later, it's not really that dark at all.

As you can see, it's not identical, but quite similar.

I could make my weapons out against that. It would have to be pitch black for you not to.
