Fog? does this not work in the tech release?

I'd really like to make use of this fog entity in Natural Selection, but I loaded one of the maps that came with the Tech Release, and there is no fog. I walked over the fog entity areas, and it nothing happened.

Has it not been properly implemented for this release, or is it my video card, or am I just crazy?

If anyone can help me with this, I would really appreciate it.

    As far as I know, the env_fog only works in OpenGL mode. It won't function under D3D or software mode. For this reason, using the env_fog in maps is discouraged due to the way it enhances or decreases visibility for only the opengl group.

    Are you running in D3D mode perhaps?

    I'm pretty sure that they decided not to use the env_fog in the final release, but I'll need a PT/Dev's word on that to be sure.  But anyway, you can create really good effects using the paricle system, or do what Merkaba did in the Ns_Hera "fog corridor" and use sprites.

    Yeah, I used Sprites to make fog in a tunnel I did for a level in Day Of Defeat. It's called dod_parish, and should be in Dod 4.0 official release! Check out the screenshots at my site...!

    Instead of using snv_fog, use the particle system that come with NSTR, you can make way cool fog using it.  Ask merkaba.
