    I just realized that this kind of spacing seriously hinders turret placement. Maybe make it smaller for turrets, or is turret farming a problem in 3.0 betas?

    I'm not sure, but I believe the bubble around turrets is somewhat small than for other buildings, but yes, it means you can't pack turrets in the one inch between the obs and the wall. I havn't noticed this as a problem yet, comms seem to find ways to turret farm things just fine when they set their mind to it, and as far as I'm concerned, lowering the effectiveness of turret farms a might isn't exactly a bad thing.

    Well thats a good question....

    No the NS beta dont have the dlls files used to make a server. So i just put in the old 2.01 dlls... it makes NS:C dont work. But i could make u the pics right <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Give team_command...Not sure if this would crash 3.0 it does indeed crash in 2.01...

    Yep turrets take up room now, which is a good thing.

    Now commanders must use actual building placement thought and skill when seiging an outpost, so he chooses the right amount of turrets/sieges. It also makes electricity very useful, as you can't always fit in another turret.


    The days of turret farms are over. Good riddance.

    You just described the entire beta community when the building spacing was introduced (3.0d, I think).

    Trust me, there were a lot of sieged out hives and WoLs.. a dedicated commander can do sieges like before, he just has to plan!     Copy ur ns 2.01 dll folder into ur steam\apps\halflife\nsp\

    I will miss the days of squishing every single strucute into a little pile around the command chair with 3 Electrified turret factories chasing away skulks, but I guess this is for the best.
