Co Map Specs Question

<div class="IPBDescription">Do all the specs for ns maps apply?</div> I have one question specifically. Normal natural selection maps are not supposed to have areas that overlap one another, because the commander cannot access his marines if they are on the bottom level.

Do combat maps have to follow this regulation as well? (As there is no commander, the only time you'll even see the map is if you are dead... right?)

Anyways, just working my way through some map designs and that thought came to me.

Combat maps don't have the level-over-level restriction; both the commander and the minimap have been removed from Combat mode. If you wanted to make a four story tower, you could.

In fact you should ignore much of what NS mapping has taught you and fall back upon the fundamentals of Deathmatch mapping. NS:Combat is Team Deathmatch, and the most interesting DM maps involve areas with lots of connectivity and height differences.

Combat maps that are an endless maze of flat hallways and rooms are bad! BAD BAD BAD!
