Ns Beta 3 Appears As 3rd Party Mod

I have unistalled the old 2.0 NS mod and installed the new beta version , but it still appears under the 3rd party mods , and i have read that the new version have full steam support as it goes under the My games list not as a mod. ¿have i installed it right or i have made any mistake?

I have another minor problem , the intro plays chunky for me , but i this is of no importance couse y could see it with the Bsplayer ¿does anyone have the same problem ?

Ns isnt a game owned by valve thats why its in the '3rd party" group, as with all other mods under the steam platform (i.e The Specialists).

The intro is b0rked. Dl the lastest patch (3.0 RC2) and the intro will dissapear.

i have installed the new patch and the intro disappears .

But i had read in the Ns site the following Respect to the steam support:

"Full Steam support - Official Steam support, including a new NS desktop, friends list, and automatic updating. <b>NS will be listed under the "My Games" section (not as a 3rd-party mod)."</b>

This is no a problem so i can play perfectly , i only ask if anyone has the same issue , and i see so .

I am lead to believe the final version will be in the 'my games' the other mods are not owned by valve just acknowledged by them as being worthy. To get that acknowledgement probably involves parting with cash, sucking up or having x ammount of players as much as it does writing a valid mod but wth.

Dont worry about it and enjoy the betas

eaglec is basicially right. NS will be listed under "Third party games" until release time. Then it'll be under the other catagory and will be updated via steam, work with VAC and all that other nifty shizzle that steam can do.
