Ns 3 Crash On Install

I was able to install steam successfully (even ran the traing ground), however, when I install Ns 3 the install crashes my system about 3/4 the way through (seems to be one of the maps). I tried downloading the Ns installer again just in case it was corrupt, but I get the exact same thing.

I have Win 2000 with 512M and ATI video.
