He's got a half-decent point though... Jetpacks right now need some looking into, i have yet to see a game in beta 2 where the marines DIDNT jetpack rush.

Actually, the problem isn't so much jetpacks - it's jp/gl. The GL clears any web, the umbra is useless against grenades and the jetpacker don't need to spend much time actually shooting at the hive, but can concentrate on dodging while reloading instead.
For the life of me, I can't remeber grenades being this powerful in the 3.0g - did something change in beta1? There is nothing in the changelogs, but it feels different .. like the grenades go off a lot faster?
A tertiary point is also that you have less lerks now, as anyone intending to go onos can't go lerk.
