Note: I understand this is a steam problem, ive already posted this in there forums, i wanted to also post here to see if anyone had, had similir problems, and that may beable to help.

ok

System Crap ~

OS: WinXP Professional 5.1 Service Pack 1

CPU: Intel Pentium IV, 1.99 GHz

Video: nVidia GeForce4 MX 440 (1280x1024x32bpp 60Hz)

Memory: 512MB

___

Whenever I open games in steam i get this screen proportion

<img src='http://gamecache.net/hosted/chis/help.JPG' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

Usually, i minimize then maxamize again and that usually makes it even more screwed up, but 1 out of 10 tries it can sometimes sort the screen right, ive managed to sometimes change the screen to wide and back to normal , but 99% of the time, whenever i open a game, the screen is just screwed up. so ive lived with it

but really, its beginning to pee me off, sometimes i can be restarting, reopening steam many times , minmizing, maxamizing for ages before i actually get a game.

I was wondering if anyone had this problem, and could give me some solutions (or ways that i can get my screen right with one little fix)

    When i was writing that post out , i looked at my current reselution, and thought.. "hjmm maybe my res is to high"

    i was right <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    i just need to lower my res, then open a game <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
