Any stories from playtesters on how you guys got the most envied jobs in this forum? Also, try and keep it clean guys. I don't need you to tell me all about the sordid tales of <span style='color:red'>***things***</span> and <span style='color:red'>***other things***</span> on your rise to the top (<i>"Tonight on Behind The Playtesting: Humbaba, the man who would do anything and anyone to get in the project... and did!"</i>)

    That's basically it, most of us playtesters have been here for over 6 months.  The only person who doesn't fit that is SpyderMonkey, he just appeared for the Forum Mod application and ended up getting it, it was a chain of events that led him to the playtester he is today.

    I would have liked to be a playtester, but as I didn't own retail HL (I'd played a *cough*warez*cough* version for HLSP, but never online) at the time, I said I wasn't really interested.  Meanwhile, per standard, I made many insightful suggestions and helpful posts on the boards.  Much to my surprise, Flay sent me an email!  So within a week, I'd gone out and bought Halflife.  (:

    What posts did I make? Well, I replied to ideas saying the good and bad of them ommented on people's maps when they posted them, and never posted a ton of leet talk or swears or other such spam...usually <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    Also, since I took over the NS IRC channel in it's infancy when there was a whole 1 person besides me and Chanserv, it helped out a little <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo--> Running a clean channel shows you have some common sense (not much I mind you).

    Er... Storm PT'd NS fair and square.  It was showed off at the FoR LAN, of which Storm is a member.

    And yes, we do have Flayra chained in the basement.  But we delivered Chinese food, not pizza.
