This seems to be a problem with the conversion of mods from a WON interface to a Steam interface. I've been annoyed by this behavior in The Specialists many times.

It is possible to set max players on a Sven Coop steam listenserver however, so I think it's just a bit of config tweaking to allow us to do the same in NS.

Either way, it'd be possible to tweak configs in your NSP directory to set max players already (I'm guessing that 32 is just the default)

changing the config.cfg to a certant maxplayers value wont help
when u create a listenserver in the game its like u set maxplayers to be 32 so it overwirtes it :/
too bad.
will it get fixed admins? :x

btw i checked some other steam mods and normal HL and there is a place where u can set maxplayers

not config.cfg, listenserver.cfg has all the variables. the UI is also missing a server name field

Moving this to beta discussion so you can gather more data. Please return if there's a bug report, not just a setup issue.

If someone here plays The Specialists, and figures out what setting is needed in the .scr files, let me know and I'll include it.

Adding the following to the current settings.scr in the nsp dir should do the trick:
*Edited out, see attached settings.scr instead*

EDIT: Changed the default name of the server to something more appropriate.

EDIT2: Just tested them out and they show up fine, except for the votemap one I wrote at the bottom, as the description is too long... Fixed, but now it doesn't tell you you can disable the votemap altogether.

I've put the new stuff into the attached the file, but it could do with a bit of a re-ordering.
