I Got A Problem

your .dll [cl_dlls\client.dll] client differs from the server's

i dont know if this happens since NS is in beta right now, but i'd like to know whats going on as its annoying me.

the other problem is with maps, this is what it says:

your map [maps\ (name of map) ] client differs from the server's

does this happen because i need to download the certain map (if so, where do i get them), or am i having technical problems.

I'm pretty sure that I have beta 2, but I still get some of those same errors...

i'm still having the same problem. its really annoying as i cant get in to practically any of the servers.

mine says: invalid steam id ticket

cant play or admin my server till its fixed. Hope I can fix it soon : )

ok so i exit steam, then restart steam. It asked for login then client worked fine. Now I get client dll differs from server, so I will try to reinstall the latest patch.

whats the deal with changing the folder name from "ns" to "nsp"? Same with the ded server.

go to the download page

folow the friken directions, tell us that you have done them exactly as specified.


1) Install Steam

2) Play HL through Steam (just play the boot camp)

If you already have the NS CLOSED beta installed: Delete the nsp dir

3) Install The NS V3.0 Beta 1

4) Install NS v3.0 Beta 2 patch (its a patch, just point it at steam\steamapps\youremail\half-life)

5) Play on a beta 2 server (other wise you will get client dll differs)

If this is realy that hard tell me what part stumps you.
