Adminmod On 3.0

Will adminmod work for 3.0. When I have it installed on my server it crashes? If not, what can I use for administration?

if its admin mod I dunno what to say. You could try AMX mod but its far more gimmicky and annoying

As far as I know, Admin Mod uses the metamod dlls, so make sure you have the 3.0b compatible metamod dlls.

To answer the original question : Adminmod works, and Metamod works better if you get the updated DLL from www.modns.org .

There you go.

Alternatives? The only real one (atm) is AMX, but I've never tried it.

Admin Mod < AMX

AMX is so much better than Admin Mod will ever be. I used to run a CS 1.6 Beta Steam server and AMX works 150% better than Admin Mod. AMX uses less memory, does exactly the same thing as Admin Mod, plus it does more. There are far more plugins for amx than Admin Mod. You can change basically any aspect of the server with amx. I used to write plugins for my own server, but I never bothered to publish them cause they were for my own needs, (Clan config plugins, auto balance, cheat detection)

So in conclusion....

If you want an just the basic commands or want to add cool and new effects/features to your server, get AMX.

Though I'll admit, the first time it took me a day to figure out how to install it correctly, but it was well worth it.
