Hanging Wires

Well, the only way I can think of making hangy dangly wiring is making a brush as thin as I can (which is what, 1 grid unit as small as possible?), nullifying the textures, put the wiring on each side, then making it an illusion texturebrushed. Is there another way? Because this way leaves a 'gap' between the wires. While it's not very visible where it is, in other places this'll give me problems.

I'm not sure if this works as I've never tried it but you could try putting two null-textured func_illusionaries right next to each other so they have one of their faces on a common gridline and texture the faces that are facing each other... this way there will be no gap between the sides.

    Funny picture:

Except now it's fullbright lit... looking really out of place among the teal lighting. I tried to make it teal but it doesn't seem to work.
