Can't Make Account With Steam.

I downloaded the steam half-life installer, installed it to D:\Steam, then ran it. It updated adn everything and I sat at the Create account and log in bit. I started making an account, but once I got to the part where you put in your nickname, and you real name, I hit next. It froze up on me, then i got a thign saying "please send microsoft this error message yadda ydda yadda" and steam crashed. I uninstalled and downloaded a completely new steam 3 times from 3 different mirrors and this si the problem it has given me. If anyone know how to fix this please oh please tell me how to do it. Well, until you fix it, you can play ns 3 on WON - there are only a few servers that do this, but its better than nothing.

ok, seeing how as just skiping over the steam install now will just screw you over later, here is what you do:

1) Reisntall and try again

2) If that dosn't work go to the STEAM forums (we don't know much about the inercore of steam, they will no more)

and throw them a bone by actualy giving them your sys specs.


And yes you can play 3.0 on won, but there are like 3 servers and eventualy won will go down and then you will be stuck again.

Well, I'll just play on WON for now. Im planning a reformat soon of my computer and going through all that trouble to fix it just to do it all over again doesnt sound fun. And when you say reinstall, reinstall half-life or steam?

Aye, I plan too, once i reformat my computer. Thar be lots of junk on here that im not quite sure how it got on here in the first place, plus its over due for one.
