... If there were more diverse screenshots. Now I don't want this to come off as ungreatful, but theres more than a couple questions I've seen about how hive sight, parasites, and scent of fear all work. These kinds of things (among others often asked about) are difficult to explain with those inadequate commuication devices we call words.
So with that NDA lifted, are playtesters allowed to take screen shots and post them to answer those pesky reoccurring questions? After all, didn't a wise man once say "A screen shot is worth 1x10^3 packed arrays of characters"? <b><i>NERD ALERT</i></b>

    currently, we cant go willy nilly with the screenshots, but those things you provided probably wouldnt help all that much seeing a screenshot in.  I think they are things you must actually "feel" or discribe.

    Seeing yellow on a screenshot doesnt tell you anything if you've never played the game, but saying something like the Skulk has the ability to make marines appear on the hive mind, via a yellow icon by parasiting them - is a bit more discriptive.  Least, it would be if I were any good at describing stuff.

    Showing a picture of how hive sight works... well it just doesn't work.  It's an ability that allows you to see what eveyrone sees.  Simply posting a Screenshot with the use of HS doesn't really cover much since you don't know what all the dots and stuff mean.  Words are not inadequate; especially not for the things you ask about.

    So, in short, I agree with Fox.

    We're only releasing nice screenshots.  You'd be surprised how many screenshots seem like great ideas at the time and then are incredibly boring or ugly when released.  That's why we're releasing oodles of them.
