I've heard that 3.0 works on WON but from now on (as far as I know) they will be building it upon Steam.

Here is the deal:

Aparently you can simply copy your NS dir over to your WON install.

HOWEVER, the reason why WON is not being fully suported any more is b/c won is no longer being updated by valve, and eventualy the WON servers WIL go down.

lol, give the guys a break, steam doesn't suck.
And it's gonna be steam-only as far as i know
