I played copyes of it in my NS and hl folder. I named it pledcal and everything, used wally to make it wad file etc. And when I started a game I didnt not go into my customise menu etc.

are you using Steam? if so I believe it needs to be named 'tempdecal.wad' and put in your "/nsp" folder in steam directory

to fix this common problem do this:

    copy to pldecal.wad
    copy to tempdecal.wad
make tempdecal.wad read only (rightclick, properties)
    should work
