Learning To Ride A Bike

And a motorcycle
My brother wants to learn how to ride a bicycle, and eventually learn how to ride a motorcycle.

The problem is, he's already 18.

Will it be easier or harder to learn at a late age?

Better to learn now than go through life being too afraid to pursue your ambitions because of some stupid notion that what random people think of you matters.

"Hahaha, are you learning to ride a bike?? You gotta be at LEAST 18 man hahha"
"Are you saying that you'd rather I never learnt how to ride a bike?"
"Well.... no... I was just saying, like... it's kind of stupid that you don't know how to ride a bike at 18..."
"Well, I'm trying to rectify that situation, aren't I? Yes? Yes. Any more gems of intelligence you'd like to share with the world? No? Hm."

And then get your brother to ****-slap him, and hand him a giant ice cream cone.

Replace 'riding a bike' with 'potty training' and eediot's happy-fun-emotional scene is put into perspective: It's stupid that he doesn't know how to ride a bike / use a toilet.

Sure you're going to rectify the situation, but that doesn't make it any less stupid.

And the fact that he wants to ride a motorcycle after 18 years of not riding a bike, that's just foolish. He's probably going to kill himself.

That is the point of learning to ride a bike. Two thumbs up for the guy trying. Tell him not to worry about what people like Teflon think, as they barely think at all.

You are being overly hostile, unreasonable, intolerant, and morally disgusting.

Obscure analogy, but maybe you also think that people who never learnt to read should just give up their dreams, hopes, wants, and ambitions, just so you can laugh at them, thinking you are so superior because of their vulnerabilities.

God damn it, and god damn you. Realise what a tool you are being, grow up, and become a better person for it.

Edit: I also seem to recall you being a troll and troublemaker in another thread. So that's it, no more ranting about you. Any post you make will be ignored, unless I have to combat your contributions 'impersonally', as I am not going to lower myself to throwing bricks from the platform I'm standing on.

[Hey, as if i didn't just make up a new saying there]

No need to worry about people making fun of him, he'd probably kick their teeth in if they did.

His main concern is how many hours/days/weeks will it take him to learn how to ride a bike.

    Haha

    that isnt the issue

Its worth learning, and just keep practising. Kids can learn it in... hey, i dont actually know how long. Couldnt be too long

Tell him to just keep trying, it'll come to him faster than kids.

What use are ambitions if you don't motivate yourself to go and pursue them

So tell him to go out and start riding a bike now, screw how long it takes... if it takes 10 months, is it any worse than 10 hours? If that's going to stop him, or be any cause for concern, then thats a bigger problem than not knowing how to ride a bike

learn to ride a normal bike it will be harder but screw everyone else... they are just butt hurt cos they arent doing anything productive with theyre menial lives...

and a lil advice... dont go to small for the first motorbike. for eg dont get some lame lil 125 cc ... it is bad.. start at around 250-400 at least...

that means you have to do you CBT - and your advances trained (cant remember the name) you have to be over 21 though to ride more that 125cc dont you Moq? or you can get a big bike and have it restricted.

sorry to bump an old post...

yes you need to be over 21 to ride anything higher then 250... but its worth it to get advanced.. i mean.. cbt has restrictions.. advanced means anything really..

i had a 1000 cc and im only 18.. altho i didnt have a license cos it got taken for speeding 2 years prior on a 125. lol

and Anth.. i got no idea who you are.. unless u are anth as in pony... from bck..
Deathshead kicked me out mate... cos he said ' dont think i wont kick you out the clan ' lol and me being too cocky for my own good replied with something like ' nah dog f88k u.' then i found myself banned lol

Right, for the love of god dont let him get a big bike, I had a friend who won the lottery, 25 grand. Buys the most fantastic Harley Fatboy youve ever seen, used. Hes never been on anything bigger than a dirtbike, in two weeks hes totalled the bike and himself, paralyzed below the neck. Make him start slow.

When learning to ride a bike at the age of 10, (or above) WEAR SKATING PADS. Personal experience.

A word of advice : Do not let them start out slow. It may seem overwhelming to just takeoff if you don't know how to ride but thats what you have to go. If you try and go slow to start off you WILL fall.
