<div class="IPBDescription">school remote desktop problem</div> at school, we are trying to install some remote desktop / remote monitor software
its called MasterEye, and it has two parts.
Client:
log on with admin, install, pick a server, connect to server, log off
only admins can change client settings from the client computer
Server:
log on, open program, you can see all clients attatched to computer
that's the theory anyways ... we all know how that goes
problem:
21 clients, 2 servers
20 working clients, 2 working server
the problematic client has full access to the network, can ping the server, can print to the network printer and other than not being able to see any of the servers seems to work fine
has anyone used the mastereye software before that could offer any tips?
note, supposedly each server should be able to have 30 clients attatched to it
edit/update:
tracerts from the nonfunctional computer seems ... strange
example:
C:\>tracert bv0041114
Tracing route to bv0041114.sec.bv [ip]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 <10 ms <10 ms <10 ms [ip] <--
2 <10 ms <10 ms <10 ms bv0041114.emp.bv [ip]
the marked line does not show when using tracert from any other computer, unless the nonfunctional computer is the target. all oter computers seems to be able to directly connect.
