<div class="IPBDescription">2 unworthy pix</div>ok...so enough detailing...I had to get back to the layout. What you guys have seen so far are two routes to two hives through the industrial and engineering sections respectively. The third and final route (to the third and final hive) is through the community/living quarters. This shot is a basic design of the rec room. It's by no means finalized...but i do like the basic geometry.
I blew up the r_speeds since everyone seems to be going crazy about them lately.

Looks great from the outside, inside looks a little bit too clean... or too dirty, depending on what you're looking at. If that makes any sense. I'm sure that'll be ironed out, though, as you and cliff do some great texture work in your maps -- both with creating and using them.
For the most part, in looking at these pics, if it weren't for the fact that I see the NS logo on the side and a few ns.wad textures in the screens (not to mention the fact that this is an NS forum, heh), I'd have no idea that it's a Natural Selection map. Normally that might not be a good thing, but given the shots you've shown so far, I'd say it is. What's in the space under the railing?
Would they really have a rusty railing in the community centre? There is a non-rusty one in the WAD.

That just looks amazing! i agree with the door texture not matching up, but i'm sure you'll work on it some more.
I think badmofos own wall texture will fit in really well yust maybe some more work on it to look more real.

And the door cant i see to much that have bin changed abit from here so i dont want to say to much as badmofo suprised me as i didt know that he had made this lobby untill i found these screenies here.
As he lives in the usa and i in sweden so do we have an 8 hour time differrence.

I love the idea of it over hanging the cliff, its a great looking scene. I really love the geometry and the way you have managed to keep the r_speeds low.

yes - detail will be added and some geometry will change.
I know it's bright and Not NS'ish...but that's the point...i want to break things up a bit...add some flavor...it's still very sci-fi'ish. Besides...this and the marine start are the only real outdoor areas that will be in the map. I think they provide almost a "comforting" feeling to the marines after being inside a dark, damp, commotion filled base. Besides...it's a nice contrast setup for the next room....coming soon.
