Does anyone know what is the function that calculates how much health and armor you lose when you take certain amount of damage?

    er do you mean what percent your armor and your life take when you take whatever damage?

    It depends on the mod, the weapon, and the type of damage <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Actually doesn't depend on the weapon. Only on the amount of damage the weapon does. And I'm quite sure it haven't been changed in most of the mods.

    oh that... it's a function of the player class, can't remember which without looking at the code. On a fun note armour takes more damage from explosives but you take less as a result =o

    funny I thought there were armor-piercing weapons and stuff. You know, in the example of CS, grenades, different weapons (glock opposed to AK, off the top of my head) and knife don't take off the same chunk of armor.

    Also I forgot, the armor itself can change <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> (carap/HA/armor upgrades for example)

    well... depends. The normal half-life code has all bullets doing set damage (based off the ammo type rather than the gun). No armour-piercing or anything. Only difference I could see in there is the explosive dmg one and that drowning/falling dmg ignore armour. Other than that it's all treated the same. Non-players don't have armour.

    Course, it's one of the easiest things to rewrite so I doubt it's still the same for CS, NS or most other mods =3
