<div class="IPBDescription">Do you NEED HL for it?</div> I need to install NS and STEAM on my dad's computer untill I get my new one (which might be a while... 0o)

To conserve space, I was wondering if NS 3.0 was stand alone... if not it's ok... his computer has a 160 gig HD <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    All you need to run NS on Steam is:

    Steam
    Half Life downloaded fully (just load up HL once from Steam Games menu)
    NS 3.0 BETA 1 installer
    NS 3.0 BETA 2 patch <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    At a guess-o-mate from looking at my Steam stuff it'll be around 800 MB.

    Not at the moment, no. It's uncertain whether or not the release version will be, with its moving to 'My Games' instead of 'Third Party'. Just have to wait and see.

    (And you need the Beta 1 installer too... IIRC, B2 is an incremental patch for B1)
