Steam With Proper 3rd Party Mod Support Not Instal

When I got to install NS 3.0... it tells me STEAM with proper 3rd party mod support is not installed... WTH is that?
NVM- Found out what to do:
If this happens, run Half Life via STEAM: This lets it update it's files <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
