Server Admins....wot Ya Gunna Do?

<div class="IPBDescription">who's gunna police the police?</div> just a quick post (hah thats a lie!) that i have to make out of pure frustration. natural selection is an ace mod, i've played it since the start, just like all HL mods. But on factor that i can always rely one to ruin the game are corrupt admins!!

Back when TFC and CS were equally popular mods i saw admins as knights in shining armour that would clear up clan match hassle and save public server's from hackers, and cheats.

But somewhere along the line some have forgotten their routes. Playing with admins used to make me feel at one with the whole gaming commuinty circle. But now its hell.....

<b>Admins that execute exploits </b>like no_clipping so that they can be and uber gorge and make their team win

<b>Admins that insult and aggrivate new players </b>simply because their skill may not be as equal to theirs

<b>Admins that fail to recognize unfair teams </b>even when players cant spawn due to overwhelming rapings that r going on

<b>Admins that complain and bicker</b> at being killed simply because the method of murder wasnt l33t enuff

<b>Admins that cant take constructive criticism</b>

Admins that for some reason see themselves automatically as the gods of ns

....And what happens when u meet one of these annoying ****, <b>u try and tell them where they r going wrong...and BAM...KICKED, </b>

So you retry and hope that they've had their fill off authority and the game will return to normalcy, but no, more complaining, more accusations of n00b players ruining the game. So you point out that say...this admin is using resupply to fuel his gl spamming attack on the hive.....and BAM...BANNED!

Admins need to be monitored better, and admin priveleges shouldnt be handed out so quickly, because the slightest bit of power, even on a silly internet game such as NS causes people to become right **** and kick or ban anyone who slightly disagrees with them.

<b>Admins should stop bringing their personality and opinions into the game, they have an obligation to make games as fair and fun for everyone, which means also to tolerate other peoples opinions of the game. But instead we have an increasing plague of ego-tripping, immature, prentious wankers.</b>

Generally, its the server that decides who admins or not. If you have any specific complaints, bring it up with the SERVER and not the NS Forums.

Um yeah, you can't exactly complain about people who do whatever with their own server. They may not be the gods of NS, but they sure are the gods of their server, chances are they pay for it.

You have been a member on the boards for over a year and this is your first post? I guess you don't read the forums often either, otherwise you would have seen this same type of post many times in the past. The solution to the problem is for people to find a different server. If the admins are really bad, no one else will play there, and the problem will solve itself.

Take it easy, if the server admins suck on that server, then its not worth playing there.

Of course you're going to go play at another server, but it's just the idea that admins are such ****. And plus, you go to another server, and the same freaking thing happens. I've wasted good hours on the servers, and I can't pay for a server. I can understand having a little fun... But damn...

[EDIT]HA! TFC and CS equal in popularity. I wonder where it was that people decided CS was better. I never did...

Actually to tell you the truth and personally I think it's a *GOOD* idea to bring stuff to the forums and I'll say why.


Chances could be that if you try to take it up with the Server peeps that anything you say might get ya banned or whatever from that Server,depends on how you reply to them or whatnot on their mistakes.

Also those same people you take yer problems to of the server could be reading these forums and if they like or whatever of what you say and do something about it if it gets out of hand or there are enough people who agree on something that should be done.

To me it's not a good idea to lock topics/threads like this,who knows they may help or create a bigger problem.Some topics like this I find rather amusing and funny and quite entertaining. <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif' /><!--endemo-->

One bad thing I see about this so far if the people of the server you took yer probs to and don't ban you,they might read your topic here and the next time ya showedup on their server,they could ban you.

Some people can be idiotic too sometimes <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> lol and also idiocy can be powerful at the right times/places.

Like I said it can be good or bad to have topics like this.

Take it up with the server admins -- most servers maintain a bulletin board as well or include contact information in their MOTD. The NS boards are not the place to complain. If you're that fed up with a server, find another one to play on. Don't come here and cry about it.
