Not exactly a new program, but still cool nonetheless. I use it myself for Raven Shield, even though the profiles are a bit buggy.

(a profile is the file that says what speech command does what ingame command)

"Idle dozer" "power plant" = pwnage. espeically if you do liek "Launch Auraras and guard"

For HL though, wouldn't it get in the way of voice comm?

Yeah, but you can bind a button to toggle it on and off.

Nice find, I always like well-trimmed but functional free software. If I find myself using it for more than just the games with existing profiles, I'll go ahead and make a program in Java or C++ to make XML profile generation a little more user-friendly.

[edit]Unless of course there already <i>is</i> an easy way to add new phrases instead of just editing existing ones, in which case I'll need to focus such efforts on curing my own blindness instead.

[edit2]Don't be expecting it anytime soon; I'm already busy with a business-priority project with a deadline this month. I'll most likely pump out a "lite" release to Sourceforge in my spare time afterwards and let people expand on it from there.

I just use the Sidewinder GameVoice software. Shelled out $50 for the puck when I was dealing with Tribes/T2 so we could actually organize and get orders from the Commander(s). Which were the people with the pucks, as the free software version wouldn't let you deal with speaking to battlegroups, or let you select a single person to order about.
