G4....the Channel...not Mac

Recently I convinced my parents to get Digital cable, since it was only 9 dollars more a month than we already pay, and saw it came with a few nerdy channels, for me. G4, a "gamers" channel, and tech tv. The gamers on G4 are mostly all nubs, but they do discuss interesting things. Whats everyone else think of this channel, if you DO get it.

I like G4, at least it's a 24 hour channel in something I'm actually interested, not like politics, or the weather or anything. Now if only they can be fair and balanced like Fox News.

G4 is great, some of the shows are filler, adn the two guys that review games are total morns

I liked it. While I'd like to see a better reviews show, arena was interesting. Even though I could singlehandedly beat any team they ever had, and their Announcers are complete idiots, it was still funny, and interesting. I just wish they brought back their old show where all they showed was game cinematics. That was great...

For the most part I hate Tech TV. It only covers Windows XP or Mac, they dont even acknowledge 2000 exists, and for the most part anything news related there has been posted on these message boards at least 2 months ahead. The anime they show is either hit or miss. Some is alright, others are crap, I really am waiting for them to show a truly "OMG RAWK" anime.. I think they showed Serial Experiments Lain a while ago though, so that qualifies.

I love G4. It is the precious life source from which all others hath sprung. Life without G4 would be a bleak, desolate place, where I would have to resort to talking on #naturalselection more then is physically healthy. Sweat might not be that great a show, and Players is only cool when they have neat guests, but the rest of the shows are really good. Judgement Day isn't ALWAYS right, but hey, I'm sure everyone screws up all the time. You have to admire that in their reviews, they only give their personal opinions, and don't prefix everything with "Well, _I_ didn't like ____ but you might" because you can get that stuff anywhere.

G4 generally sucks. I'd much prefer to have them show competitve gaming on it, like Korean SC games or QuakeWorld Deathmatches.

it would be both awesome and boring if they showed 24/7-unreal tournament constantly... wait am i saying? go for ut2003 i would pay 99 cents. no more. no less.
