if a rine gets a jp, resupply, and a shotgun, they can pretty much take a hive out on some maps all by themselves, (i succesfuly did it on CO_daimos) and like 5 aliens were after me, 2 skulks, 2 lerks and 1 gorge. Seriously, if i can lame this bad, something is wrong
now my point is, to NERF resupply. seriously. Once a rine gets it, they get a medspam and free ammo, they never have to rely on anything except for a weld. I think a rine should only medspam when they are standing still on the ground not moving, and as for ammo, same deal. It doesnt make sense to bite a jper once, have them medspam, and have to keep biting them until he accidently lands for too long.
dont say" well the rine will run out of jp fuel" thats ****, i can do "big" jumps with the jp even if its near empty, it just recharges too fast.

As for the hive soloing situation, those Lerks both sucked to be perfectly honest. With Umbra your damage to the hive is negligible and easily undone by the Gorge, and a good Lerk with Celerity and Focus can kill any JPer real fast, often before he even scratches the hive.
At lvl 7 I can have:
Onos
Gorge; web; adren; celer; SoF (this is a DEAD JPer)
Xeno Skulk with SoF, Adren, Celer, Cara
Lerk; Focus; Adren; cara/celer
Fade with some toys.
Its not overpowered, it just is sorta hard to counter
That's what the Gorge is for. Umbra to minimize the damage, get the Gorge to keep healing it. Once the Alien heal rate is de-crippled(or Gorges are pulled and the hive given its regen back), they'll be able to recover from those attacks very easily, and we'll be back to our good old hour-long stalemates.
Aliens only chance is to get the marines in the early game. Its to hard to do when thy are all camping in the same room, then once you enter get shredded to little skulk chunks before you bite somone. Hive needs some sort of self defense or somthing to stop those JP, in classic they arnt to much of a problem because there will be a few OC laying around the hive.
Those OC will kill the JPer before he can destroy the hive. In combat aliens might as well just sit there and watch the JPer pop the hive. A skilled JPer can outlast any amount of spores and umbra. And those are the only helpers. When voogru put spikes back on JPers were usless for doing this. Marines were limited to using team based attacks. A single marine coulndt take out a hive by himself.
If Flayra is going to make marines that can move faster then almost any alien, AND fly. There needs to be some DECENT range attacks. Its common sense
LERK BITE. I don't know if you guys have ever seen a good Lerk defend the hive against jetpacks but JPers can go down in seconds. With Celerity Lerks can both outspeed and outmaneuver a JP, and with Focus resupply doesn't do squat.
The problem of marines camping in base and getting exp for JP/Shotty/Resupply(that is level 8 right there, without leaving base once according to you) is a result of impatient aliens who won't stop rushing to their doom. Play intelligently.
What else are aliens to do in this situation? Sit outside and wait for the TSA to get bored?
