<div class="IPBDescription">Can it be done right?Should it be tried?</div> Certain marine tactics require certain alien countermeasures, or upgrades/evolves on their part. Early in the game the marine tactic is much different than mid game or even late game. The weapons change drastically as does the damage/armor ratio of the marines. Some weapons which may be effective early on are not so useful later forcing "gimped" lifeforms evolves when the skulks who were skulk for 7 levels suddenly have to face a train of GL/HMG HA and need to change to fades or onos. At such a time it becomes twice as hard to effectively mount a countermeasure (if they push them out of the hive in under the 3 seconds it takes to kill a hive) since certain upgrades don't fit well with certain lifeforms, an example being focus against the comm chair.
This is just a small inquiry (inquiry means question for the n00bs ready with flamethrowers) as to whether you think it would be feasible or upset balance in any way if the aliens were allowed to de-evolve their lifeforms (clicking the same upgrade you have would get rid of it and lower you X number of levels, x being the cost of the upgrade).

There IS hambone mode, but having to evolve through all the upgrades *every* time as an alien doesn't appeal to me.
