<div class="IPBDescription">...except when NS is running</div> I'm not sure how this occured, but all of a sudden, after closing ns and returning to windows my sound aquired a permanent echo. I reinstalled drivers, restarted the computer many times but the problem still persists. Although, when I open ns again, and alt-tab to windows, the echo disappears. I dont experience any echo in ns, but when i run other games through steam, like half life single player, i get the same echo. It must be a software problem, please help!
my specs:
running: ns3 beta2 on STEAM
sound card: SB live 5.1
edit // and yes, i do have the latest drivers

I still have the problem, its getting really irritating in other games, and i cant listen to music. HELP please!
open up the controls for that (creative audioHQ)
change the settings for something (like # of spkrs you have) and then just change it back..
this might make the problem go away (or atleast fix it when it happens)
Also, check in those controlls for the environmental audio effects (or something along those lines, and make sure none of the echo effects are on.)
Also do you have EAX enabled?
Meh ill know how to fix it next time i guess, see i downloaded one of the plain drivers, without any software crap. Thanks anyway.
