Glass Doors

<div class="IPBDescription">...And the speeds</div>Ok, in my marine start Ive got these doors with glass. I have everything setup correctly, and they open together at the same speed and the glass is lipped correctly. But, when they close the glass parts close before the solid door does, and the window parts dont even close together. I can only think of two things to solve the problem; adjusting the speed of the glass doors, but that would affect the open speed too, then theres adjusting the delay for the glass doors, but while that would solve the closing problem but then that would of course make them open at a different time than the solid doors. Ive heard of a "move together" flag, but I couldnt find anything. Ive looked though a few glass-door specific tutorials but I cant find the answer. Gah help me please!

I had pictures, but apparently something happened after I created the topic, Ill try to put them back in later.

    I have had this happen before, my lip was wrong.
    To fix, a)adjust your lip <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
    b) move the door into an open space, so you can see the whole thing move, then you will see why the timing is different. And you can adjust accordingly.

    This is only available in Sipirt of HL, which NS does not support. (well it might, but everyone would have to have that spirit.dll... but for safty sake.. NO)

    correct and incorrect. The 'Delay before close' is what you want. change to like .1 or .2 depending on the size of the brushes... you may have to fiddle with this.

    the 'delay before fire' you dont want to change.

    It can be done <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> You just have to add something to the glass part of the door.

    <span style='color:red'>Assci edit beware:</span>

    The door (top view):
    ?_______________
    |_|_______|_____|

    The middle piece is the opening for the glass.
    =====================================================
    The glass(top view):
    ?_______________
    |_|_______|_____|

    Use 3 brushes so the glass is just as wide as the door and turn this into an entity
    The to parts outside are textured in NULL.

    Now set its speeds and lip exactely like the door part and it opens and closes just like the door "and problem solved"

    If you want to see it in my 1337 mspaint skills to explain it more clear just say so. But I think the Ascii art should work wont you say? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> </span>

    Kouji wins the prize, that's the correct answer.

    The same technique also applies to any moving object that is made of more than one brush entity, though in the case of func_trains you're allowed to use CLIP brushes too.
