I've been toying around with making a drinking game for NS and wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions/improvments.
1 Shot:
-Pistol Kill
-Leap Kill
-Charge Kill
-Build A Hive
-Fatty Caps A Res Node
-Get Heavy Armor + High Level Weapon
-Rines Lvl 3 Armor And Weapon Upgrades (Whole Team)
-Aliens 3 Hives and Full Upgrades (Whole Team)
-Killed By A Mine
2 Shots:
-Hand Grenade Kill
-Knife Kill
-Killed By Staying On The IP While Someone Else Spawns
-Heal Spray Kill
Just be careful, I'm in college so we drink pretty heavily. Know your limits and when you start vomiting that's your body's way of telling you to slow down.

Wth is so wrong with drinking? I'm 19 and I drink, not a lot, but occassionlly. Last time I got drunk was 6 months ago. And I hope to do it sometime soon again.
It's a game that was made by another game. It's made for fun..sounds like something you've never had before. If you where around me, i'd smack you with a beet bottle or slam a keg on you.

-When somebody uses a common acronym or abbreviation like lol, omg or hax and isn't referring to you.
-You see a Gorge that's closer to the CC than the hive.
-Every "main weapon" kill. The main weapon is slot 1 for marines and zero hive attack for aliens.
-Every weldable you weld.
-Each building you build (must build the majority of it. Half a second on a build doesn't count).
-Each time you get webbed.
2 sips:
-Secondary weapon kill. Pistol, spore, xeno, etc.
-Each time you survive with no armor and 10 or less HP.
-Killing a Lerk or JP while they're in flight.
-When somebody says "bs" or a similar statement of disbelief.
-You destroy a building.
-You're the only Gorge on the team (only applies once).
-You drop a hive.
-You use resupply or comm drops health pack more than twice in the same engagement.
-Electricity breaks your cloak.
-You kill a player who's bunkered in a group of turrets/OCs.
3 sips:
-Joke weapon kill. Welder, knife, parasite, charge, etc.
-A fade or onos says to drop chambers.
-Every five minutes the marines hold out after the aliens have three hives.
-You kill yourself through a non-/kill means (fall damage, get caught in own blast, etc.).
-Every time somebody asks how to get better weapons.
-You kill somebody you didn't know was there.
-You make a marine ladder.
-There are 2+ electrified buildings in the same area (3+ at double nodes).
-You get three consecutive kills (Your name appears three times in a row).
-You kill a hive or CC.
-Each JP/HA and heavy weapon rambo you kill.
Drain it:
-Somebody falsely accuses you of hacking or exploiting.
-You finish with a 5:1 K:D ratio or better.
-Your score tops 300.
-You have level 4 or better within 90 seconds of game start.
-The hive's not up by the 8 minute mark
-Somebody goes early Onos and dies without getting a kill.
-You heal/weld a total of 150% or more on hives and CCs.
Drinking is a choice.... u dont have to do it..
My 2 cents.. im an Honor role/AP student, who just got accepted to Clarkson University, a pretty good engineering school and pretty much know what i want in life, im just telling you so you get a picture of who i am.
Now.. ive been drinking since i was 12 years old. NOT FREQUENTLY, but usually once every 2 months or so... I got caught when i was 13, but i still do it.
It is fun, simply put, drinking is fun fun fun, i could get into the whole chemical aspect, but basically it takes away your inhibitors, your feelings of peer pressure, and allows you to be yourself.
While this is a chemically induced "yourself" it feels good, you have no inhibitors so you just "have fun" no matter how dumb you may look.
Drinking and Puking.. never been into it, but drinking to get buzzed and staggering=FUN

*EDIT: Don't go throwing any logs onto the fire by listing pro's or cons to drinking, this isn't the discussion forum. If you want to debate if it's "right" or "wrong" to drink alcohol, go take it up over there.
On another note, however, i'm not entirely sure how long this thread will last, purely because of the PG-13 rule, since alcohol is strictly for 18+ / 21+ / 200+ (Whatever, depends where you live), it might be deemed unsuitable. Also... i believe there should be a rule that you have to DOWN THE BOTTLE IF:
-Your computer Locks Up
-Your Ping goes above 500
-You are in last place at the end of the round
-You are commander and you lose the match
-You are the last alien alive at the end of the round
-You are found to be hacking
I think SDJASON has good points that run along the same track as my thinking on the subject. But anyway. This is just for those of us who are willing to drink at a social event like a LAN party. That was my intention in writing this game.

Ahh famous words.
But as for the drinking game, I was always under the assumption they were played with alot of people... and they were something easy to explain. Ofcourse this wouldn't be possible over an NS server really, unless you are on a lan. I mean sure you can be doing it with other people in the server, but that kind of takes the fun out of drinking games. I always felt like the point was to be with other people watching them choke down shot after shot when they knock down the beercan-playingcardtower.
Eh I guess I just thought this from my first impression of the thread, as in walking into a bar and asking people to play NS drinking game with you. Lol "Whats a leapkill?"
I find it odd how people invoke freedom of speech whenever they get offended in order to try and limit someone elses freedom of speech. Anyway, freedom of speech does not apply well to the NS boards, the board admins can be as restrictive as they wan't(freedom of speech only applies if they want it to).

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a drink or two, a couple of glasses of wine, some brandy or a few beers, preferably in good company, that's just nice. Chugging down a whole lot of booze to make you feel awkward just feels plain bad(I mean besides the sneaking suspicion that you might be a bit of a closet alcoholic), maybe that's just me <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif' /><!--endemo-->.

The bottle? Are we talking 'Hard A' here? How large of a bottle, what if you've got a half gallon or 2.... You won't be playing more than 1 and a half games. I'd end up just staring at the screen making my character stand in one place during the first few seconds of gameplay. Here's some rules I've made up with a few friends that work with almost every game.
Something really good. 2 sips of beer
Something good. 1 Sip of beer
Something bad. 1 shot
Something really bad. 2 shots

Never played NS while drunk, or any game for that matter, but I've got a week of vacation ahead of me, so I'll probably be giving this business a go. Wonder how hard it is to aim...

You make a spelling mistake/typo
2 shots:
You misspell a commonly used word, i.e, computer core, shotgun, e.t.c
You use the wrong location name (i.e, yelling "GET TO POWERSILO!" on caged <i>yes this happens</i>)

My roommate and I imbibe nonlethal drinks occasionally during games, but it's more of a constant drain of beer or Triple Blacks or something, as opposed to shots of liquid death like whisky <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
It'd be awesome if you could make it like drinking games on DVDs, where a beermug/shot icon pops up in a corner whenever something happens (just so you don't forget)... the Wild Zero dvd actually has a couple of parts where THREE icons wind up stacking on each other (drinking whiskey, fire shooting out of a random object, and hair combing, all within 10 seconds)
Anyway, if you do shots it's going to be a very quick game. Better to take sips of beer.
