In one of the Tales from the Frontlines, one of the aliens evolved into an Onos in a hallway too narrow to move in.  He was stuck for several minutes, not wanting to give up his Onos status just to get out of there, when a Gorge came along and set down a movement chamber right next to the Onos, allowing him to teleport back to a Hive.
