Downloading Everything From Server Connect?

<div class="IPBDescription">WTH?</div> I installed NS like it says, but when I go to join servers, it wants to download everything. Sounds & mdls so far for me, I just quit because I shouldnt have to DL them like this.

did you ever play half life through steam (just doing the training mission is enugh)?

What could posibly be going on:
1) You are actualy just downloading plugins and such that the server is ussing (alot of servers at least use to use plugins that required the client to donwload alot of stuff, especialy sounds)
Possible Soloution: Try playing on alot of different servers and noting what files it trys to download


2) You have a corupt install (however I don't think a corupt install would have you download missing files...)
Possible soloution: Try reinstalling (NOTE: I realy don't think this is the problem)

3) It is actualy updating HL (This is why I asked if you ever played HL via steam)
Possible Soloution: Play HL via steam.


We need more info to beable to help (note the files it trys to download and tell us)

Fixed.

Downloaded the wrong install (Redphive needs to update that link on their page <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> )
