For all Windows platforms
Nvidia has released new Beta Detonator drivers - v40.72. There are versions for Win9X/ME as well as Win2K/XP. As always with Beta drivers, I can't guarantee performance improvements, or ensure that they won't simply destroy your PC forever, and wash my hands of any responsibility. Be sure to note your old driver versions before installing to allow you to rollback to a previous version if this causes problems. See below for more info:

Yay! I felt so left out when the last set of nVidia drivers were released only for XP/2k.

I'll probably wait until these drivers get certified before I install them. I've had some serious problems with beta drivers in the past.

Hrm, I will stay away until tested. 25% increase sounds good to me though.

Erk, these drivers don't work at all for me. I think it's possible that they're making my GFX card TOO fast, as my screen goes blank with some garbage being displayed...perhaps my card is overheating?

They dont work for me either but for a different reason. The file is corrupted! I downloaded it twice just to make sure, I'll try the other mirror, some time later I guess.

i'll tell ya if you post a direct link to the secondary mirror to the win9x drivers (cuz I'm lazy and all that)

I think that would be overclocking, no? That has to be done manually I thinkie.

NOOOOOOO....they really killed my games a lot (ect Half-life and any mod to it...) so i decided to look around, luckly i found that Win XP (perhaps also older sys) has a "cansel driver update" where it installs the normal driver again (older..) but...now it's all even more *this has been editet away by me, due to the fact that it was offensive for some peeps..i am sorry and i will try not to make it happen too much * up! im running in 800x600 with 4 coulors...argh!

GOLE FREAKING JOE PEICE OF ...

GG. Still running 10 fps in frontlineforce (with all details turned off). Staring into wall = 30 fps max.

Vsync is off, anistrtopic filtering is off, I'm running HL 800x600

Geforce2 64MB MX100/200 (is what it says in Properties although I ordered an mx400)

    WHYYYYYYY!!!!!!!??????!!!!!!!

    GF2 mx400 I don't think exists.

PS. what's your connection like? I know personally that I get low fps due to huge choke problems.

pps. Try the 16.xx range of drivers.

    ppps. try gl_round_down and gl_picmip and gl_playermip

    try cl_himodels 0
try lowering sound quality, I know that's another place where my PC sucks.

pppps. What processor/ram do you have?

ppppps. If you're gonna mention FLF at least link it

    Well, I did order a mx400.

Connection: cable so that's not a problem....

    16.xx drivers... link me

How much is the 25% of 0?

There IS a videocard named "Geforce 2 MX/MX 400". I used to own one myself. I think all the MX products suck though. I would get a Pro GTI if I were you (assuming you want a G2, not a 3 or 4).

IMO, the GeForce 3 Ti 200 gives you the absolute best bang for your buck...

I just wanted to throw that out.

Im just going to D/L the 30.82 right now (I didn't check the nvidia site for 3 months plus) because I have the 29.xx version... and i'm going to wait 'till the 40.xx gets certified, cause I ain't taking any chances.

becuse after I installed this set of drivers I got artifacting (or what ever its called) in some other games I use and that never happend before.

You can simply install the new ones over them, and when prompted that you are replacing files with older ones, say 'STFU Windows, I know what I'm doing!'. Err, just click 'Yes, install anway'...
