Terran, there's no definite storyline, but there's a city being bombed to bits. So I'm not going to run you through a certain plotline, but there's plenty of plot to be made dynamically.
That's right Khaim. And I'd like the rest of the players to use their "names" the first time they mention their character in a post, rather than "he".
And yeah, guess you're right Sparks. Doesn't really sound like the G.A.C. doing that sort of thing. They're still kind of like the western world of today, except they are even better than we are at forgetting the respect for the rest of the world. Sparks - You arrive at the hollow. The mood is quite changed, the silence seems to dominate. Even the barkeep is sitting down without talking, getting up once in a while only to serve a guest quickly. Seems the bombing has changed the scene quite a bit, and a few of the patrons are missing. The ones that are here are sitting silently around the place, waiting for jobs or just plain drinking
Terran, Khaim - You arrive at the campus, or what's left of it. The place has been bombed to splinters. After searching for a while, you find what used to be your place. It seems to have been hit quite badly. The walls are broken, the roof has crashed down, and the furniture has been thrown around quite a bit. On top of that, the whole place is covered in a thick layer of rubble and dust.
Bill, Darkness, Zero - A shady guy approaches your table. He's wearing a new, and loose shirt. Looks like a skater, just darker and more shady: "Hey, you wouldn't happen to be looking for some, you know, 'money', would you?"
"Well...this certainly can't be good. I wonder what I'll have to do now in order to get a few bucks to get out of here. On the other hand, we don't have an internet connection. Only place left now is either those internet cafes, which are probably leveled as well, or the library. I'm pretty certain they wouldn't nuke the central library, since it's a landmark and all." *Adrian looks at what was his room and sighs* "Well, let's go then. We'll pass by the cafe's en route to the central library. If any of 'em work, we'll just stop there and have you do your thing. Lingering around rubble won't do any of us any good."
Bill, Darkness, Zero: He turns his voice to a whisper "It's not that I don't trust people, but I'd appreciate a little privacy when discussing matters such as these. You know, certain things are best not said in front of too many people. If you would follow me, we might be able to avoid unwanted attention."
Khaim - Suddenly, it strikes you that Poland has one thing that's still working. A few years ago, a major virus took out the internet in large parts of the Earth. In fact, a lot of webservers physically burned due to the yet unseen ability of the virus to block for any shutdown method, an exploit of the 2094 hyper-optical technology. That had two consequences. First, the hyper-optical technology security became a major issue all over the universe, and second, a number of Earth nations, including Poland, restructured their complete network, resorting to hybrid network plugs. Working without wiring, these plugs might actually still work even though the rest of the building had been bombed to dust. Problem is that once the short-range network is down, the plug system resorts to long-range connections, making it a piece of cake to track connections through the server. In other words, you could plug in your PDA right here in the rubble, but chance is that someone's going to get to know your geographical location the second they realize you're somewhere you're not supposed to be.
He goes to the front of the bar and waits to be served, when the Bar man arrives he orders a beer and sits down in the middle of the room looking for some regular clients which he is popular among. 'Dam bombing fetish morons, scared of the customers.'
*Raziel stops for a second to look at the hyper-network plug* "Hey... I could access it from here, but they'll know where I was... You plan on comming back here ever again? If you aren't I might as well do it here and then we can book it back to the bar, all the cops are probably off working at the various bombing shelters, or dead from the bombing." *He looks up at Adrian* "If you are planning to come back though, I'll wait until we get to the library."
"Coming back...well let's see. This place has been completely bombed out. It would take years to accumlate funds for rebuilding and the actual work. I should probably be of graduating age when that happens. Since I'm pursuing a Masters, that'd be way too long. Besides, will they really hold me responsible because someone used my connection port after the area was bombed over? I'd just say someone came over, found the port jutting out of the ground, and used it. Meh." *Adrian looks at what was a center of learning, now just a heap of rocks with a plug somewhere under that heap of rocks* "Help yourself. I'm pulling out of Poland back to the US after I get my tuition money back or get access to my bank account. I'll just watch or try to find anything of mine that survived the bombs." *After observing the rubble for a bit and finding what used to be a windowsill, he points at a section of the rubble* "I'd start looking there. That was where my computer station would of been, along with the port. Anything that works that could help, use it too."
*After hearing Adrian's comment about the computer station Raziel walks over and begins to sift through the rubble, looking for the port.* "Allright. What were you majoring in anyway?"
