<div class="IPBDescription">Howdy</div> well i was lookin for some help with ns, and this place seems if not better then the easiest to understand, and i had a few hardware questions and stuff about the game, and you people seem to know what ur talking about.

anyways...
im from cali, and ive played ns in some of the first versions then stopped and now started playing again. ive learned a lot in the past few weeks but some things still could use some clearing up.

i dotn know if im supposed to post somewhere else or what, but my steam will crash with an error cmd_backup hit or something like that i remember even though it happens almost everytime i play, any feedback would be coo ( and i apologize if this is a noob question) thats my main problem now.
im only 18 yrs of age also SO PLZ HELP ME OUT!!

Feels like there are a million problems with steam.. :/

I would suggest reinstalling steam. Also, remember to start up half life once, and start the practice level BEFORE installing NS. This will ensure that steam has extracted the hl.exe and a few other files, which NS needs to run properly.
If that won't work, try asking your question at #steam on gamesurge (gamesnet) or quakenet. That's IRC in case you didn't know.

You might also like to visit <a href='http://www.steampowered.co.uk/index.php?module=help' target='_blank'> this link</a> in case you run into other problems.

yea go to steam.org (i think anyways DO A GOOGLE SERACH lol)
but us here at ns are not steam ppl(hmm i guess some of us r)
but do u have ALL the new verisions of ns(altho it should come up like clp_clientserver... differs or smoetihng)

alright thanks guys, i just didnt want to post twice cause u said to post here first, didnt want to seem like i was spammin.

and i only got irc to work once and that was when i had help, havent tried in a long time. so i think that rules out.

yeah, just try re-installing steam, (keep doing it for about 8 times, it usually works around the 8th time, and be sure to run a game of vanilla HL before installing NS.)

and txnhockey slow down a bit, take a few seconds to type the word out properly, and instead of asking for a clan to 'take' you, you might want to consider just adding

"im looking for a clan" in your signature, its a touch less anoying to people reading your post.

yea when i wirte some i put that there i guess it is annoying.....
but i usally put it a little nicer and less annoying
