compiling models prob
Argh driving me nuts now! im experianced with milkshape and i never realy get this trouble! I have one of brigs models and im hacking some CS parts onto it, to make it look like those soldiers out of equalibrium (the ones u see at the start that storm that house) and when ever i goto compile the model after saying my work as refs (exporting them) milkshape starts to compile the model and then BAM milkshape causes Win XP to give me an error report and it closes down.
i mean wth??!?!?

Are you sure you assigned all vertices to all bones? No material missing? A correct qc file?
It dosen't crash when there is too many polys. it just gives you an error in the log.
start --> run --> cmd
then drag the exe into the window, and the qc file
see what error it gives
ive tried making a different ref etc still XP makes a error report log
if i did try and compile the model without the corret assigned vertexs etc milkshape would give me an error. not XP

Agreed.
It also allows you to use additive textures unlike Milkshape IIRC
Consider that, Spetsnaz. I can't stop you from doing it, but I can ask.

no thats fine coil, not in any way am i going to release this model, i was going to only use it for personal use. But know with all these errors i may just give up and start from scratch.
