let me guess...
you use your knife if:
a) you want to kill a RT
b) you are completely out of ammo
c) your clip is empty (both LMG and Pistol)
now here is what i do since some days. It just works so good. I told some friend sof mine too who never used the knife to attack aliens and it works well for themm too.
now here is the tactic:
If you see a Skulk or a gorge (to knife other lifeforms is nearly impossible. well for me. im not that good in knifing you have to know) coming up, don´t take out your knife imediately. shoot him first with your LMG. about 20 shots should be enough (if you keep in mind that not every shot is a hit). after these 20 shots the skulk should be about 2 metres away from you. Thats the right distance. NOT if he is allready to close cause the time you need to switch from the LMG to the knife-->Death. so you switch your knife if hes about 2 metres away. and charge him. aim a little bit down to make sure you hit him. one hit-->30 damage. this should really be enough to finish him off.
if you want to knife gorges, charge them while shooting. as soon as you are 1 metre away from him you jump onto him aiming straight down. Ok i know that this is not the "im gonna make you dead with my bare hands and a knife" thing but hey... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> lets not forget that it is a knifekill.
Plz don´t do this if you have to build a PG alone somewhere at the hive and a skulk charges you. Do it only if it isn´t that bad if you die. for example combat. try it there. I promise that it will work if you practice it for some minutes.
Tip: Use the armor lvl 1 upgrade first. this will help you a lot.

Knife kills are so common in NS, its not exactly a big accomplishment. Now, if I see you mow down an entire squad of marines with leap, then ill be impressed.

i posted this for noobs to tell them how to get knife kills. I didn´post it to impress anyone. Especially not you weggy. so plz think about your post again.

its not very hard to knife someone but it does take some practice; the knife kills from my sig are only from 2 days ish.

did i attack him in the first place? i tried to explain it but he didn´t want to listen. is this my fault? i just wanted to post something to help people. he posted in here to flame me without any intelligent reasons (at least he didn´t wrote any good ones).

hmm ok, i have to say sometimes i make fun of others too. but i try to answer to their explainings properly to tell them what i meant. If Weggy just posts into threads to flame anyone who wants to show noobs how they can improve...i don´t think thats the right way. do you think it is, weggy?
