<img src='http://www.tomteverkstan.no-ip.com/ns_station.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
you see the blue on the texture up on the sides, its alien_alpha2 and its not invisible.. it should be and i have set the Rendermode on solid and FXamount on 255 and it still wants to be a trouble to me
its a func_illusionary and i tried func_wall too
on other rooms when i have floors that you can see through, it works and i have set them the same, solid 255
this is drivning me crazy and i dont find any other replacement, maybe im to lazy to search, just using the ns.wad and ns2.wad

Solid texturemode only works properly on textures whose names start with a '{' character. If you use a texture program (like <a href='http://www.telefragged.com/wally/' target='_blank'>Wally</a>) to edit your texture's name it should work properly.
In addition, you should double check that the color you want to be invisible is the last color in the texture's palette.
EDIT: if you want to use that texture without any changes, try setting the rendermode to additive instead of solid -- it looks like that's meant to be a lighting effect, and solid rendermode would make those lines appear to be solid material rather than light.

Additive wouldn't look good Cagey unless I misunderstood him, he wants the infestation to be transparent, additive infestation would look trippy anyway, it would "glow".
However he is right about the { thing. Also if there is a black version as well as a blue version swap the blue version for the black and try it again.
