<div class="IPBDescription">Not just placing buildings.</div> It would be fun if maps came with destroyed features, like bridges and walls, that could be repaired to make it easier, or just faster for marines to travel. They could even put doors in walls, or create obsticles for aliens.

Imagine if your traveling in squad one down a giant vent, infront of you is a giant dilapidated fan that is as large as the vent. The smaller aliens keep jumping through the open areas, which are too small for a human. Your command sends the parts to fix it, and you get the fan spinning again keeping the aliens from taking that path.

This just expands on the weldable feature, but it might be hard to integrate.

Who knows, but it would be cool.

Could this be done by implementing two triggers for the welder? One would do the destruction and the other one would do the repairing. And mapper could make one unaccessable until the other one is activated via a shutter or something like that.
I'm not sure if weldable tirggers can be made active after they have been triggered though, so it might be one-time thing.

Weldables are basically just on or off switches, so doing something witth a weldable like what you talk about is perfectly possible. And weldables can be switchable on and off after they're welded, just look at the door from reception to archiving in Hera.
