Guitar Paint?

does anyone know how much guitar paint is? NOT to get it custom painted, but to just buy like a can of it? the reason is because i want my bass painted and my pop used to paint motorcycles, so i really want him to paint it! so, i was just wondering if anyone knew how much a can would cost? also, would i buy it at like a guitar store or?

    A neighboor of mine is 31 and was a professional painter for a good amount of years, he also was a hardcore rocker, he should be able to answer any questions that you can pose to me about painting guitars
