    looks nice, but a bit bright maybe? I get the feeling we're seeing lots of bright maps now....

    the flourescent lights seem to blend in to the background texture they are on.  perhaps if they were mounted on a relief or if either texture contrasted with the other they would be more noticeable...

    That really does look great for a first map!  Looks like your modeling skills are wearing off into mapping.

    wow - impressive start firegold...Very nice.

    If i may make one suggestion though...when I said that every door needs a trim...i just ment and extra brush with an appropriate texture on it.  What you've done LOOKS fantastic...but it is most likely a detail that will raise r_speeds, caues you to reach your limits sooner, and isn't worth it because no one will really notice.

    i would like a really dark room, i think the game should not be an open battle, more of a hide and scare game, but that truly depends on the map i think...

    Wow...I wish my first map could've looked that good. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->  If I had to comment on something (besides the brightness, which you're already aware of), I'd mention that I think that in the first shot, I don't really like the transition between the ceiling and the walls next to it.  The walls have these gizmos and details and stuff which just vanish instantly when they touch the ceiling.  Try seeing what you can do about that.  But keep up the good work -- your architecture (especially the pipes) is very well done.
