Easter eggs

Is there any?
I know mappers sometimes like to put their own little signature or picture in places on their map, and I'm curious if any of the NS mappers decided to do this. Is there any breakable walls (IE cs_office) or any other types of easter eggs there?

I think they're just saying that because they want to be the first to find them, if there are any. BTW, it's always more fun when you find out the easter eggs for yourself, rather than having someone tell you where they are, or point them out to you.

if there are gonna be easter eggs i wonder if they'll be anything like the ones in action halflife. those ones are like maps within maps! and rather disturbing too...

I hope not - whilst I am all for eggs in maps, I think that in NS I am against 'eggs' which are whole extra parts of the map. They would interfere with the gameplay too much. (Can you imagine a funfair underneath de_dust, accessable to all?)

Typically, I think big or intricate easter eggs are going to be extremely rare. Requirements for NS maps push the limits of the engine so hard anyway that there is little room left for things like that.

I don't think minor Easter Eggs would be a problem, so long as they don't detract from the game play or become the focus of the map. You don't want the game to become a hunting festival where the objective of each player is to discover the secrets hidden in the map.

I remember a map called 'smooth' that was re-released for TFC, where the mapper made mention of a hidden Quad Damage Power-up. Every time the map ran players spent the entire time searching for it instead of killing the enemy team and capturing the flag. Just an example of Easter Eggs can ruin a map.

Well on my map I was thinking of putting a sort of "Easter Egg" in the ready room, mainly because a) lots of space b) easier on map r_speeds and c) people want spend alot of time looking for it on a map

Who here knows the easter eggs thats right eggs on Caen2?

They are so damned annoying with llamas playing! All going off he smoke weed r something in the waldo room or bringing TNT to spawn campers prison to blow a hole in the fence just ot get out again....

So much potential all wasted away when llamas play!

Ooh good idea. And with easter eggs, you gotta make sure the commander can't screw around with them.
