wooohooo
Yeaaaah. Some people here know my comp sucks. P3 866 mhz, 384MB ram, Windows XP pro, one 28 GB HD and one 19 GB HD, I used to sport a TNT2 but upgraded to a gfx5200 (free, from a friend. not my own call or I wouldn't have wasted the 70 bucks on it). I don't even know what mobo
Anyway, recently me and a few of my online friends stumbled onto Horizons and drooled. I could actually run it and we all ordered together. Seeing as I was at min specs, and actually had 190 bucks to spare, I was looking for some upgrading. And upgrading I did.
I stumbled onto a used ATI 9500 on my own dutch little ebay, it was only 120 so I grabbed it a few minutes ago. I also put together this computer for my neighbours today (all the parts/etc since they're pretty much non knowing when it comes to computers) and they said they'd help me out moneywise. My mother, too, is willing to pitch in some.
I got 70 bucks left, my mother promised 165 or so and I'm not sure what my neighbours would go for but they're pretty relaxed when it comes to cash.
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 512KB cache (1,83Ghz) Barton 333 bus - 105 bucks
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe DDR (AMD) +audio +lan +Sata - 120 bucks
512MB DDR DIMM 400/PC3200 - 90 bucks
That together is 315, I'll have 235 soon enough so I'm hoping they can throw in 80 That'd rock hardcore, I could keep my 17 inch CRT and my rom drivers, use this case and somehow, by some strange tiding, I'll actually have a good running comp with an awesome cpu.
I just thought I should share this with the forum regulars. Harrrr.

Here are the stats for his totally custom comp:
Pentium 4 with HT at 3.2GHz
3GB RAM
Radeon 9800 XT (256MB DDR)
Windows XP Pro
CDROM/DVDROM combo drive
...and a lot more stuff than I can think of right now.
That's like nearly total bullshoot there :|
to bad I'm stuck without a computer. and even if I did have one it would *still* be 56.k and ME
