    That's what ImageReady is for <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    You use ImageReady, not Photoshop.

    Although it's not very easy. With each new frame, you have to create a new layer, heck, my sig took AGES, and it's only 4 frames!

    Jasc's Paint Shop Pro Animator is a bit more user friendly. There's a 30 day free trial on their site.

    What? No you don't. You can re-use layers from previous frames.

    <a href='http://www.gimp.org/' target='_blank'>The GIMP</a>'s got pretty good animation support through use of multiple layers. Here's one I made last week with imagery from the Opportunity Mars rover digging a trench...

    Just open another .gif in ImageReady and you'll basicly see how it's done. That's all you need.
