<div class="IPBDescription">Annoying Problem..</div> Ever since I broke my old Wireless Internet and bought a new and exact same one, I've been experiencing frequent lag spikes which cause my in-game loss to go up to 18 while my choke remains at 0. I'm not good at networking and such so I'm pretty clueless as to what to look for, I think it may be the software because when installing it, a warning came up saying it wasn't fully compatible with Windows XP. I don't see any difference though since my old exact one never had this lag spike problem even though the software wasn't fully compatible.

I'm using a BUFFALO WLI-PCI-G54 Wireless LAN Adapter

I don't know, it's been doing it for a while now. We did have a really bad storm on Saturday, that may be the cause.

I no longer have the lag spikes anymore. I think they were caused by my Windows Messenger which kept coming on by itself and opening ports that were vulnerable to attackers. So I terminated that sucka and voila! No more lag spikes! Yay for meh!

try upping rate value and decreasing cl_cmdrate / cl_updaterate..
