Downloading File Twice?

<div class="IPBDescription">Dl same file twice?</div> I was on the search for new maps for ns that are actually used, so i join a few servers that had new maps. When i joined the server i would dl the map, mdls, sprites, then once again i would dl the map, mdls, and sprites. I had the same problem while getting tfc and cs maps, too. Sooooo, I think it's a half-life bug, not a NS one. The fix is: as soon as it starts downloading the files again, hit retry.

Its the .res file. A mapper must create a server sided file to tell the server which files to DL to you for the map. Most mappers for some reason include the .bsp file. That is the map, .bsp. The server already knows it has to give you the .bsp, but then it reads it in the .res file so gives it to you again. So blame the mapper!!
